The actor and his family remembered the teenager as a smart and creative dancer who brought light to their lives.
Actor Chad Lowe and his family are mourning the death of his 13-year-old daughter, Fiona Lowe, remembering her as the light of their lives in a statement released Tuesday.
“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” the family said in a statement provided to Page Six. “She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance. She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”
The family called her death devastating, requested prayers and privacy, and encouraged anyone experiencing mental health difficulties to contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
Lowe, 58, shares Fiona with his wife, producer Kim Painter. The couple has two other daughters, 17-year-old Mabel and 10-year-old Nixie. Lowe is also the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, 62.
Fiona marked her 13th birthday in November 2025, prompting an Instagram post from her father. Lowe shared a photograph of her smiling in cowboy boots and wrote, “Celebrating Fiona officially becoming a teen today!! Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!”
Earlier that year, in February 2025, Lowe posted photos of Fiona and her sisters visiting the ruins of their childhood residence after it was destroyed in the Pacific Palisades fire. He wrote that his daughters’ resilience was remarkable and called fatherhood his life’s greatest joy and privilege.
Fiona is survived by her parents and her sisters, Mabel and Nixie.
