Benjamin Satterley, the English wrestler known as Pac and Adrian Neville, died one day after competing at AEW’s All Out event.
English professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known to fans worldwide as Pac, died at age 40, All Elite Wrestling announced late Sunday. His death came one day after he wrestled at AEW’s All Out pay-per-view event in Chicago.
AEW didn’t list a cause of death when announcing his passing on its website and social media. While the promotion and most reports stated Satterley died on Sunday, the Los Angeles Times reported he died Monday. On social media, AEW wrote, “Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”
Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley started wrestling training at 18 after his aunt, a fan of the WWF, sparked his interest in the sport, according to his booking agency MN2S. He began his wrestling career in 2004 and started performing internationally in 2007. Known for high-flying maneuvers, he picked up nicknames including “The Super Superman” and “The Man That Gravity Forgot.” Satterley wrestled under the name Adrian Neville from 2012 to 2018 during his time in WWE.
Satterley signed with AEW in 2019. During his time with the company, he became the inaugural AEW International Champion and held the AEW World Trios Championship twice. On Saturday night at the NOW Arena in Chicago, he competed in his final match, losing to Andrade El Ídolo in an AEW National Championship bout.
Wrestlers posted tributes across social media following the announcement. Will Ospreay wrote on X, “The greatest export from our country. Also the greatest human being,” adding, “Honored to have shared the ring with you so many times. You truly are such a hero to myself and many others.” Kevin Owens shared photos of Satterley and wrote, “The best lad… We love you,” while Alexa Bliss wrote, “I cannot believe this. RIP PAC 💔”
