News World Inside accepts contributions from guest writers. This page explains what we look for, what we will not run, and how to send us something.
We publish guest work for one reason: because a piece is genuinely useful to our readers. That is the only test that matters here. Everything below follows from it.
Before you write to us, please read our Editorial Policy. Guest contributions are held to exactly the same standards of accuracy, sourcing, and disclosure as everything else we publish, and are reviewed by our editorial team before publication. If a submission does not meet those standards, we will either work with you to revise it or decline it.
What we cover
Our sections are World News, Business, Technology, Entertainment, Sports, Travel, and Health & Lifestyle. A pitch that does not sit naturally in one of those sections is unlikely to find a home with us, however well written it is.
The strongest submissions tend to have at least one of these:
- First-hand knowledge. You were there, you did the work, or you have experience with the subject that a general writer would not have.
- Something checkable. Figures, documents, records, studies, or named sources we can verify.
- A clear reason to exist. You can say in one sentence what a reader will know after reading it that they did not know before.
What we ask of every submission
- It must be yours, and it must be unpublished. We do not run pieces that have appeared elsewhere, in whole or in part. We do not plagiarise and we credit original work; we expect the same from contributors.
- Claims must be sourced. Attribute facts, quotes, and data to where they came from. Where a claim is central to the piece, point us to the evidence. If something is unconfirmed, say so in the draft rather than letting it read as settled fact.
- Disclose any interest. If you have a personal, financial, or professional interest in the subject — you work for the company, you own the product, a client asked you to write it — tell us up front. Disclosure does not automatically disqualify a piece. Failing to disclose does.
- No undisclosed promotion. Sponsored or promotional submissions must be disclosed to us and will be clearly labelled if we run them, so that readers are never left to guess whether they are reading independent reporting.
- Respect the people in the story. We report on real people. Submissions that are gratuitously intrusive, demeaning, or unfair to their subjects will be declined.
What we will not publish
- Pieces written to place a link rather than to inform a reader.
- Content that is unsourced, speculative, or built on rumour presented as reporting.
- Material that infringes someone else’s copyright. See our DMCA / Copyright Policy.
- Anything unlawful, defamatory, or harassing.
Commercial relationships
Any commercial relationship behind a piece will be disclosed and labelled, and a commercial relationship never buys favourable coverage or exemption from the standards on this page. That rule is set out in our Editorial Policy and our Advertising page.
News World Inside does publish sponsored content and paid collaborations from time to time. If you want to discuss a sponsored or paid placement, that is an advertising enquiry rather than a guest pitch: please see our Advertising page, or email [email protected].
How to submit
Email [email protected] with “Guest Post” in the subject line, or use our Contact page. Please include:
- A pitch, not just a topic. One short paragraph on the piece you want to write and why our readers would want it.
- The section you think it belongs in.
- Who you are — a line or two on your background with the subject, and a link to previous work if you have it.
- Any interest to disclose, as described above.
If you already have a finished draft, send it as a document or a plain-text email rather than a link that requires an account to open.
What happens next
We cannot promise a reply to every submission, and we would rather say so plainly than set a turnaround we may not be able to hold to.
If we want to run your piece, we will come back to you to discuss edits. We edit for accuracy, clarity, and length, and we may change headlines. We will not change the substance of your argument without talking to you first.
If we publish it, you keep your byline and you are credited as the author. What we publish remains subject to our Terms of Service, and our Corrections & Clarifications process applies to guest pieces exactly as it does to our own.
A note on tone
We are not looking for the loudest possible version of a story. We favour clarity over sensationalism, context over clickbait, and substance over hype. If that sounds like the way you write, we would like to hear from you.
